Zoo visits

We've spent a few fun (and crazy hot) days at the Zoo the past two weeks.
Last Friday we went with Auntie Becky and Hot wheels was there! Gabriel so so excited that he got to wash a car and make it turn colours. At the end of our Zoo visit we came back to the booth and he was given a hot wheels t-shirt and book with all the cars ever made.
Wow... was he ever happy! It comes with us everywhere now!

This past Monday we spent an enjoyable day with Uncle Andy, Auntie Nicole and the adorable almost one year old Noah.

Happy 1st Birthday Noah

Today is Noah's first birthday. It's hard to believe that a year has passed by already.
It seems like only yesterday that we were all anxiously waiting by the phone to hear of your arrival into this world!

Noah, we love you to bits. You are such a sweet little boy and it's been so much fun watching you grow this past year.

Happy first birthday little buddy, we hope it's a fun day!

Love of love, Auntie Rosie, Uncle Rob, Emma and Gabriel xoxo

I stole this picture from Auntie Nicole's blog...my new favourite!!

All Done!!

He did it! We weren't sure at times that he would but Gabriel completed his ten days on his "yucky yucky" medication.

He had a very painful case of tonsillitis (which had him quite out of sorts for days....) and so there were times when getting him to take his medicine seemed like it just might be impossible.

We got through it, thank goodness with the help of stickers...lucky for us, stickers are a big motivator in our house!

Very proud of his dinosaur chart.

Cousins on the beach!

We had a fabulous day at the beach yesterday with Uncle Andy, Auntie Nicole and cousin Noah.
We went to Wasaga Beach for the day somewhere I haven't been in years.

It was great, it was fairly quiet and the water was really shallow which meant the kids could go out and out without it getting too deep. The water was a bit choppy but that made for some really fun wave jumping! (Times like this I wish I had a waterproof camera).

We had so much fun, thanks for a really fun day guys!

Tia Colleen

We spent the day with Tia Colleen a few weekends ago before she headed back home to Panama.
It was wonderful to see her and have the whole day to talk, I just wish it had been under happier circumstances.
The great thing about kids is they NEVER slow down!! So Colleen was kept busy playing follow the leader, tag and being attacked by Emma and her nephew Finnigan.

That day Gabriel was coming down with a bug so he spent a lot of the visit sleeping but did manage a hug to two by the end of the day!

Raspberry picking

We didn't have to go very far this summer to get fresh raspberries. We have a a lot growing in the backyard and the other day Daddy and Gabriel enjoyed picking some for our dessert!

Who's sick?!!

The kids both had a yucky bug last week which resulted in two high fevers, tonsillitis and a ridiculously long wait at the walk in clinic!
Thankfully, we don't end up at the doctors often and when we do we luck out and are in and out. Not this trip...two and a half hours later and we were still there! I am amazed the kids were in such good spirits despite feeling bad.

If there was a bright side it was that the clinic must have recently received a new book shipment so there were lots of new and fun new books to keep us busy and we all enjoyed that.

We finally got called and then waited in a room for at least another half hour so Gabriel feeling a wee tad better decided to entertain Emma and Mommy! Thanks bud...it helped!!

Still waiting....

Pinkalicious

On Saturday Emma and I went downtown to see Pinkalicious the musical with friends Jess and Celina.
It was Celina's birthday present and she picked Emma to join her.
For those of you that don't know the book, Pinkalicious is all about a little girl who loves the colour pink so much and after eating one too many pink cupcakes turns pink herself!
It is a favourite read in our house and I think it's quite possibly our most loved book, so Emma was so excited to go and see the play.

We went downtown by subway which was a first for Emma ( and it's been quite some time for Mommy too) so that was a fun and exciting way to start off our girls adventure downtown!

Daddy had to work so special thanks to Auntie Kim and Uncle John for taking Gabriel for the day...much appreciated!!

The girls on the subway.

Waiting for the show to start.

All the cast signed their books and they got a picture with Pinkalicious herself!

Showing off their signed books.

Off for lunch....

Best buddies.

Zonked after a long but really fun day!

Centre Island

Last Thursday Auntie Becky and I took the kids to Centre Island as we do every summer!
We have been going since Emma was eleven months and it is always a great day.
This year it was so hot that I think most people stayed away. There were no lines and the kids went on every ride at least twice, which they loved!

We ventured out of Centre ville for a bit and found some pools to cool off in and a really neat play park!

Thanks to Auntie Becky for a great day!
