Heritage Park

The kids and I headed up to Heritage Park last week on one of the crazy hot days.
There is a huge water front with a beautiful big beach with soft sand to dig (and lose cars which sadly Gabriel discovered) and warm shallow water that was great to walk far out in.
Behind the beach is a huge park which the kids also enjoyed.

Unfortunalty the day we picked to go it chose to rain and thunder only in Barrie so our visit was short lived and resulted in two very wet, sandy and dirty kids being thrown ( not literally of course!) in the car while Mommy got hailed on...and I mean hailed on...it hurt!
Next time I won't ignore the thunder and million warning signs we were given before we had to mad dash to the car!

Needless to say it's on our list of places to re-visit!!

Exploring the water.

Building in the sand.

Enjoying the slide.

Note the two cars in the sand...yup Gabriel held up a line of anxious and excited kids so his cars could have a turn first! That's our boy :)
