One tooth short!

We have some pretty exciting news to share...Emma lost her first tooth on Saturday!
It had been wiggly for a month or so but it had become quite loose last weekend so we figured it wouldn't be long.
She was eating a watermelon and I hear "Mama my tooth came out". I was surprised and proud of how calm she was.
She is pretty excited about her new smile and we think she looks pretty adorable too. It is yet another little reminder that our little angel is growing up!

Emma had been adamant from the beginning that she did not want the Tooth Fairy to take her first tooth. She could look at it but must leave it, so she spent a lot of time writing the tooth fairy a letter telling her so and we went out and bought a special box for her to keep it in.
The tooth fairy complied and Emma was quite happy to not only get a little treat under her pillow but a letter in return!

Oh and as for the slowing down the growing up process, I guess her teeth aren't listening to me as the newly lost tooth's neighbour apparently wants to join as it's now loose too!!
